Interests

Besides computers, that are my work, I have other interests such as SCUBA diving, sailing, photography and motorcycles.

SCUBA

I got my SCUBA diving certification in Lanzarote, back in 2002. Since 2004 I am an active member of I.S.A.C. Diving has taught me to be calmed in even the worst situations. I had suffered first hand few problems underwater and I have learned that being calmed is the best way to safely return to the boat.

Sailing

I also enjoy sailing during the summer months. I have been sailing from Howth Yatch Club since 2003 on a Class 3 boat (28 feet or 10 meters) and also from Royal Irish Yacht Club on a Shipmen boat. Sailing is a team and timing sport. When sailing, team effort is enforced; if the team doesn't work as a perfect unit, the race will be lost.

Photography

Another of my pass-time is to take pictures. I started taking pictures while in High School, when I was 14 years old, since then I developed a style for scenery and panoramic views. Please visit my pictures website to see some of my work from the last years. Also, since I started diving, I have taken some underwater pictures, they are not the best, but I am learning.

Motorcycles

I don't really know when it started or why, but I have always been fascinate by motorcycles, when I was 14 I started riding my older sister's moped; after the first ride, it became mine for ever. From the little 49cc moped I upgraded few times and today I have a Honda Shadow 750 with some personal customisations. Riding a bike gives me a sense of freedom that can't be compared with anything else, but bikes have taught me respect and limits. After feeling the hard pavement few too many times, now I have a respect for the bike, the speed, the road and I have learned how the wrong actions can be painfull.
